Simon Hollington

Simon is an experienced surveyor specialising in the built environment, with over eight years of professional practice and six years focused on fire safety. He holds a Master’s degree in Building Surveying from London South Bank University, awarded in 2018.

He began his career in general practice surveying, gaining broad experience across residential, commercial, and new‑build projects, before transitioning into fire safety in October 2020. Since then, Simon has developed extensive expertise in external wall system assessments, including EWS1 and FRAEW surveys, alongside Type 4 fire safety assessments. He has delivered work across small, medium, and high‑rise developments, supporting clients in meeting complex fire safety and regulatory requirements.

Simon achieved Chartered Member status with the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) in October 2024. At Joule Group, he leads the fire safety surveying team he helped establish, supporting both the fire engineering division and the wider client base with consistent, high‑quality delivery in line with industry best practice.
